About Us
All of their staff is absolutely amazing! My parents have been going there ever since I can remember. My mom took my husband there before he proposed to look at rings. Tom is absolutely incredible & is so knowledgeable. Tom did such an amazing job with my mom & husband on picking the perfect ring out for me!! I was absolutely floored, it is gorgeous! So of course, we went back for our wedding bands. We got married in Aruba, so the second we came home, I got my rings sottered together. Needless to say, they did an awesome job! Very fast & in a timely manner. I recommend them 100%!
About Schneider’s Jewelers
In 1928 Gustav A. Schneider started a small business on Broadway in Kingston, New York. His business was mostly watch repair and hand engraving. Soon his son George W. Schneider joining the business and in 1948 moved it to the historic Uptown Stockade area of Kingston. His son in law, Thomas W. Jacobi joined the business in 1978 representing the third generation spanning 76 years.
Today’s store is far different from the one started in 1928. The spacious store displays a wide variety of jewelry, watches, bridal and unique gifts. We also offer a wide variety of services including repairs, appraisals, bridal registry, and gift wrapping.
Schneider’s success can be attributed to their business ethics and management, along with the many knowledgeable and professional associates.
In 2008 Schneider’s consolidated their two stores and returned to their roots in historic Uptown Kingston. There you will find a beautiful newly remodeled store, featuring a great selection of wonderful jewelry and gifts all under one roof. You will also see many of the same experienced staff from both locations.
Schneider’s is affiliated with the American Gems Society, Gemological Institute of America, Jewelers Vigilance Committee, and the Retail Jewelry Organization.

Happy Customers

“Thanks so much to LJ for taking such good care of us and for his quality work! We couldn’t be happier with the experience Schneider’s provides. The staff is so friendly and LJ took great care of us when my ring needed sizing. It fits like a glove and shines better than before! Thanks LJ, Mr. Jacobi, and the rest of the staff at Schneider’s.”

“I LOVED my time at Schneiders! My fiance and I went together to pick out my ring and Naomi couldn’t have been sweeter! My parents got their rings from Schneider’s 35 years ago and made us promise to check it out. There was no pressure to buy anything, and they were so respectful of our budget! We will definitely be back for bands (and I’ll probably go back on my own to get my fiance a watch).”
